I am using a MacBook pro, but I’m running VCare Pro in a Virtual Windows 8.1 using Parallels. Are you supposed to be able to output direct to an X-Carve (GRBL 0.9 electronics)? Please don’t tell me I have to use UGS, because eliminating the need for UGS was one of my main reasons for purchasing VCarve Pro.
I added the X-Carve (Inch) and (mm) options to my VCarve software but when I select them the “Output Direct to Machine” box is grayed out.

V-Carve does not require any additional wiring. cut3ds exceptionally easy to use interface leads you step-by-step through the process of loading a model, setting the size, interactively placing tabs to hold the job in place, calculating single, double or four sided roughing and finishing toolpaths, previewing the results and finally saving the cnc code to run on your machine. I noticed this morning when I started VCarve 9.5 there was a notice in the top right corner there is an update available 9.508. 4mm nozzle, models meant to be scaled at 1/285 can only have details that measure 114mm full size. Naturally, you can scale it to any size you like. I normally do this in the slicer by scaling it at 35. Fusion works on centimeters if you use the Export function. The stl is saved as 1/100 scale although the mesh is designed to be printed at 1/285 scale.
